POST/forms/pdf/metadata
Form data
Response
JSON, one entry per PDF under its file name.
The route answers directly: it ignores Gotenberg-Output-Filename, and answers 400 to the webhook headers. An error answers a status and a message: see Errors.
curl \
--request POST http://localhost:3000/forms/pdf/metadata \
--form files=@report.pdf
Response
{
"report.pdf": {
"title": "Quarterly report",
"author": "Finance"
}
}
The answer holds title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, creationDate and modDate, each when set. A PDF without metadata answers {}. The names are the ones set-metadata takes. A date comes back as the PDF stores it: as a PDF date, D:20260101120000Z, which set-metadata takes, or as an XMP date, 2026-01-01T12:00:00Z, when only the XMP metadata holds it.
